Individual and family services
Practical behaviour supports for your family's unique circumstances
What is Positive Behaviour Support?
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is compassionate and evidence-based. It seeks to understand the needs a person is communicating through their behaviour.
Our support is built on a foundation of respect and collaboration. You are the expert on your family, and we provide guidance and new ideas to create proactive strategies, teach new skills and create supportive environments.
We listen to your experiences and concerns in a friendly, judgment-free space. We work with you, not to correct you, ensuring that the strategies we develop feel right for your individual circumstances.
Who we can help
PBS is for any individual or family seeking support, whether for a specific challenge or for broader guidance.
We can help if you or your child are experiencing difficulties with:
- daily routines, like stressful mornings or bedtime battles.
- big emotions and meltdowns.
- distressed behaviours when leaving a fun activity or place.
- social skills, like sharing and taking turns.
- feelings of being 'stuck' and unsure what to try next.
How we work
1. Understand the 'why': Together, we’ll move past the confusion by uncovering the root causes and needs behind distressed behaviours.
2. A clear plan: You'll receive a personalised roadmap with practical, step-by-step strategies that make sense for your family's unique situation.
3. Receive whole-family support: You're not alone. We provide ongoing coaching and guidance to help everyone implement the plan with confidence.
4. Ensure it works: We actively troubleshoot with you, refining your strategies to celebrate what works and adapt what doesn't for effective results.
